Job title: SharePoint Developer  

Location: Remote / Manchester / Leeds / Runcorn 

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Focus of the role: 

As a SharePoint Developer at BCN, your primary role is to design, develop, and maintain SharePoint-based solutions that support clients in achieving their business objectives. You will be responsible for analysing user requirements, creating custom applications, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical support, and deliver innovative solutions is essential. Additionally, you will work closely with other team members to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard, always prioritising client satisfaction and aligning with BCN’s values of building strong relationships, customer success, and passion for technology. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and implement SharePoint-based solutions tailored to client requirements, ensuring robust secure architecture and seamless user experience. 

  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather and analyse business needs, translating them into effective technical specifications and project deliverables. 

  • Create and customise SharePoint components such as web parts, pages, lists, libraries, and forms to enhance business processes and productivity. 

  • Design, plan, and execute SharePoint migrations, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to client operations. 

  • Integrate SharePoint solutions with existing systems and third-party applications, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance. 

  • Maintain and support existing SharePoint environments, troubleshooting issues, applying updates, and optimising performance as needed. 

  • Document solution designs, configurations, and customisations, providing technical guidance and training to end-users and colleagues. 

  • Champion best practices in SharePoint development, security, and governance, aligning with BCN’s values of building strong relationships, customer success, and passion for technology. 

  • Work collaboratively within project teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions and exceptional client satisfaction. 

 

Person, Skills & Experience: 

To excel as a SharePoint developer at BCN, candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience in designing and delivering tailored SharePoint solutions, working closely with small, medium and enterprise size clients and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables. A proven track record in customising components, integrating with third-party systems, and maintaining secure, high-performing environments is essential.
