Job title: Senior HR Advisor (Temporary)

Location: Manchester M22 – Hybrid – Minimum 2 days per week in the office

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: Competitive depending on experience

Contract: 3-months.

Focus of the role:

We are looking for a confident and capable experienced HR Advisor to join our People team on a 3-month FTC. This role will focus primarily on employee relations (ER) casework and general HR administration, supporting the business with a variety of HR tasks.

 

You will be the go-to person for advising managers and employees on a range of ER matters including absence management, performance, disciplinary, grievance, and flexible working requests. You’ll also support with ad hoc HR projects and contribute to the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations.

 

This is a hands-on advisory role, ideal for someone with solid ER experience who can hit the ground running and work independently with minimal supervision.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on a wide range of ER cases, including absence, performance, disciplinary, grievance, and flexible working.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.

  • Support HR administrative processes including onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes.

  • Assist with HR reporting and data management.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

  • Support the wider People team with ad hoc HR projects and initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies.

 

Person, Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in an HR advisory role, with a strong focus on employee relations.

  • Confident in managing a variety of ER cases from start to finish.

  • Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Proactive, flexible, and solution-focused.

  • CIPD Level 3 (minimum) or equivalent experience.
