Job title:        Sales Operations Co-ordinator

Location:        Manchester, M22 – Hybrid – Minimum 2 days per week in the office

Hours:            Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Salary:            Competitive depending on experience

Focus of the role:

The Sales Operations Co-ordinator will be a key enabler of the sales process, ensuring that all administrative aspects of the sales cycle are handled efficiently and accurately. You will work closely with the Sales Director, Account Managers, and cross-functional teams including Finance, Procurement, and Service Delivery to support pre-sales and post-sales activities. 

This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality support in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. 

 

Responsibilities:

Sales Support & Administration 

  • Support sales and operations process interdependencies and identify areas of process improvement. 

  • Prepare, issue, and track sales quotations, proposals, and contracts using internal systems and vendor portals. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system (Dynamics) including opportunities, contacts, and deal stages. 

  • Support sales’ use and mastery of sales tools for more effective pipeline management and reporting. 

  • Process sales orders and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with internal policies. 

  • Liaise with vendors and distributors to obtain pricing, availability, and lead times for hardware, software, and services. 

  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of products and services. 

Customer Engagement 

  • Act as a point of contact for customer queries related to quotes, orders, and billing. 

  • Support the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth handover to the service delivery team. 

Reporting & Analysis 

  • Generate regular sales reports and dashboards for the Sales Director and senior leadership in collaboration with Rev Ops lead.  

  • Track and support sales reporting with KPI’s including pipeline management, forecasting accuracy and wider sales governance. 

Process Improvement 

  • Identify and implement improvements to sales processes and administrative workflows. 

  • Support the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sales operations. 

 

Person, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales support, sales operations, or administrative role—preferably within an IT, MSP, or technology environment. 

  • Strong understanding of sales processes, CRM and other systems.  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook. 

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. 

  • Familiarity with IT products, services, and terminology is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of licensing models (e.g. Microsoft CSP)
