Job title: Lotus Notes Developer (Contract)

Reports to: Head of Development

Location: Remote

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £400 p/d DOE

Focus of the role:

BCN Group have an opportunity for a HCL Domino (Lotus Notes) Developer, working on behalf of a longstanding BCN customer who are currently undergoing some major tech changes for parts of their system.

The key focus of the role will be writing middleware routines to facilitate data transfer between Domino and a 3rd-party non-Domino system, as the client is moving their Domino web application.

Additionally, the client is also undergoing a process of self-improvement, looking to increase efficiency of their existing applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of new LotusScript routines behind a Domino web service and enhancing current applications on the HCL Notes/Domino platform.

  • Working closely with the internal team who have primary contact with the client, keeping everyone well informed with progress along the way.

  • Responding to reports of bugs / issues within HCL Notes/Domino applications and resolving.

  • Work with the business on a backlog of identified issues and change requests on software applications.

  • Attend weekly calls with client to report on progress.

Person, Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience in LotusScript development.

  • Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work autonomously but also as part of a team.

  • Background in working for an MSP/consultancy.

  • Domino Web services (SOAP) is a nice to have.

  • JavaScript would be useful but not absolutely necessary.
